  1. I definitely liked the simplicity of this blog entry. However, in the section where you talk about Hurston's life (second paragraph), and you evoke 'Their Eyes Were Watching God,' really briefly -- I, as a reader, would've, loved to hear why and what inspired her to write this novel, or how she felt about publishing it, or the back story of such a revolutionary story. I find it would've added a certain nuance to your blog entry, but also create a thoughtful connection with this blog's directions. I do, appreciate, though the effort you clearly put in researching her life.

I liked the way you talked about the author because you gave us a quick background. However, I would include more information about the relationship between her and the novel. I did enjoy your blog though because I was able to learn many things in a short amount of time.
