Romanticism In Architecture From the late eighteenth to the mid-nineteenth century, romanticism was an ideological orientation that consisted of works such as literature, painting, music, architecture, and more. Romanticism had also featured nature, imagination, and feelings. Romanticist Classical architecture attempts to imitate older architectural styles such as Chinese, Moorish, Indian, and Egyptian. For example, one of the most well-known neo-Gothic structures is the Palace of Westminster. The building was designed in 1835 for the House of Parliament, and some materials such as cast iron were used to play with Gothic forms. The freedoms of creative styles were embraced during Romanticism.        When I was 12, I one day came back home from school and had seen two teenagers that were lifting their bike’s front wheel off the ground, at the moment I was astonished by how cool it looked being able to ride with one wheel. When I came back home I started to search on youtube for “bike tricks” and I was immediately influenced to get my first bike and start learning tricks. As time passed by, I got a bike and I would ride in an empty area to practice my wheelies. After months and numerous fails, I could finally wheelie for a decent time. One day I decided to call my cousin and go for a small ride around his block, and when we would both wheelie into the sunset, it just had put me in a zone where I was disconnected from the real world and that caused me to forget about all my stressful problems.     First and foremost, I believe that Black Vernacular English (BEV) is a dialect and not a language. People believe that when west Africans were brought to the U.S and learned English some of their original language was mixed, which led to the dialect that we now call BEV. White people at that time saw the people that spoke this way, lacked education. The vocabulary and the grammar that is being used by someone reveals their identity, this is essential because communication is the way humans share emotions, ideas, and experiences. An example of the AAVE vs standard American English would be:           AAVE: He do what he wants.          SAE: He does what he wants.      I first discovered this dialect a couple of years ago when I listened to rap songs. Girl Commentary Girl is a short story that is written by Jamaica Kincaid. The whole story consists of one single line. The mother is having an argument with her daughter about how she should be meeting a girl's standards in a society.  "You are really going to be the kind of woman who the baker won’t let near the bread" (Kincaid 1). This is an example, the mother uses to shows her daughter the consequences she would be facing if she becomes a "Slut". The girl was only able to interrupt twice during the whole conversation in order for her to defend herself. While I was reading this short story, I realized how these types arguments and issues separate mothers and their daughters. This is conveyed in the overall theme of mom/daughter relationship, and their sexual reputation.

  Sleeping is my favorite thing to do, but it’s not the same reason as everyone else. The reason why I love sleeping is that I can lucid dream. A lucid dream is when you are aware that you are dreaming, from that point on you can control your dream and do anything you want. In order to tell if you are dreaming you can check by closing your nose and if you can still breathing that means that you are dreaming. That’s because your real body in bed is not actually moving. Having the power to do anything makes me feel superior. When I am in a lucid dream I have the most amount of excitement, I can meet up with any celebrity, I can spawn everywhere. I can have conversations in dreams that would be impossible for me to have in real life. However, there are cons of lucid dreaming, it is possible to have sleep paralysis, having too much fun in a dream affects your mood in real life. Some people describe lucid dreaming as a drug except it doesn’t have major side effects.
